Factor Language Blog

Warm fuzzies

Factor seems to be getting a fair bit of exposure lately. I can tell because people have started posting uninformed commentaries. While Factor is not the main subject of that article, the author mentions a lot, and seems to argue that Haskell’s referential transparency is good because stack languages and in particular Factor have no abstractions other than the stack (non-sequitur?) I replied to this post in the most polite way I could, but perhaps I should not have bothered. In any case, Factor doesn’t even have 1% of the uninformed criticisms being written about it as Lisp, but progress is progress!
